DIY Sketched Icons!

Here’s more DIY changes to my blog design!

Noticed the new icons on the right? Well, i sketched them out and got the husband to HTML neatly in a column!

I might amend it a little more…

Love it, and him to bits!

Watermark/ Logo Designs

I’ve been keeping myself busy with my little hobby… Blog maintenance.

Learning to enhance bit by bit  and experimenting with designs is what i want to be good at! My DIY assignment for this month was to sketch out a few watermark designs for all my food images.

Hmmph… Too many options to pick!

With some professional help from the husband, the confirmed design will be inserted into all my existing (and new) foodie photos VERY soon!

Weekend is Near!

Ahhh… Wednesdays!
My favourite day to think and do some food research for my eat and blog (EatnReview) posts this coming weekend (Friday/Sats)!

Hmm, for the month of August, i’m thinking to explore budget foods nearby, nothing overly delicious and expensive.

So, watch this space!

Pampering My Nails

I LOVE giving  my nails a good DIY manicure, just simple steps will do:

Step 1.  Wash hands with anti-bacterial liquid soap
Step 2. Pat hands dry
Step 3. Moisturize with Sally Hansen’s Hands, Nails & Cuticles creme
Step 4. Apply 2 coats of Sally Hansen’s  Hard as Nails clear coat.
Step 5. Apply 2 coats of my favourite colour (Jumpy nail polish byVipera Cosmetics -Made in Poland), leave coloured nails to dry,
And lastly: Re-apply clear coat as top coat. Juicy!

The husband had a good time reading Freaknomics, so now’s my turn to find out what’s so smart about it!

Revamping Scribblelicious Soon

Not sure how soon, but i’m excited to start re-designing my blog -If time permits- before 2011. Other than ‘attending’ HTML & CSS lessons taught by my husband, i’ve practiced bits more by memorizing and testing the codes repeatedly…

You see, I wouldn’t want to cling onto my hubs (though he’s ever ready to assist) too much over a simple HTML dilemma, and learning on my own would do wonders for a beginner like me!

So here’s hoping that i’ll reach intermediate level by October.

Brainfried and Dull

That was my week, really…

Work was same-old, summer grew fiery, snoozy people everywhere, muffled streets (Due to upcoming Ramadan) and my edgy mood for some reason i do not know… Yet.

Here’s hoping for a better chirpy day tomorrow!

3D Sketches- Kitchen Ideas (4)

I paused for 10 mins and pondered about the colour scheme in this studio-sized kitchen, and i thought why not throw some primary tones to liven it this tiny space…

There are tons of red and yellow hues out there, and i decided on:
Option A: Spicy-red (back-painted glass) backsplash and a deep maroon Corian countertop/ dining table OR,
Option B: Mustard yellow and deep maroon Corian countertop/ dining table.

Well, i’m loving the yellow highlights!

The Suburban Life… Maybe

Been daydreaming about our permanent home… In a friendly and mellow town, surrounded by fresh greeneries and melodious chirps by our windows…
Funny, but gone are the days where I yearned for the city life. Not sure why, but mayhaps my mature braincells are dropping me hints to pause, reflect and spend quality ‘me time’, which i’ve silently craved.

Sudden thoughts of living the subtle life inspired me to search for residences away from the typical materialistic lifestyle, though i have no exposure living the suburban way, i’m thinking go ahead, and who knows, i might enjoy the simplicity of it all.

The house hunt will begin as of Dec 2010. Exciting!

Hello to My New Domain!

Happy to finally own my Scribblelicious doman! Thanks to my webby-smart husband, he exported and transferred it all clean and quick within 2 hours!

He’s now my walking XML/HTML/CSS dictionary… Bliss!!

Hopefully someday i get to re-design this whole blog soon… Meantime, am stuck with working life and such.

3D Sketches: The Bathroom (1)

One of my must-haves in my future bathroom, is a full-height glass shower cubicle!

It doesn’t have to be frosted… Crisp clear will do.
